VEB Set to Injecting Funds Into Rosneft
VEB has set to appropriating money to refinance foreign indebtedness of Russia’s state-controlled oil company Rosneft, RIA Novosti reported.
VEB has set to appropriating funds to Rosneft for refinancing its foreign indebtedness, VEB President Vladimir Dmitriev said. “We have taken positive decision in respect of Rosneft and are appropriating the funds,” Dmitriev told the reporters.

Rosneft applied to VEB for $800 million, Rosneft President Sergei Bogdanchikov announced late past week.

VEB has received applications from Russia’s banks and companies for the total worth of around $75 billion; the money will be spent to refinance loans, Interfax reported. Of that amount, Dmitriev specified, the companies applied for $44 billion and the banks sought $31 billion.

The companies of primary industry, oil and gas producers, metalmakers, the companies of innovation industries, construction and trade and retail chains, have applied for the money, Dmitriev said.
