Russia to Adopt Food Security Concept
Russia will adopt the Food Security Concept till this year-end, PRIME-TASS reported with reference to Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeev.
The Food Security Concept of Russia will be adopted before this year-end, Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeev announced today during the meeting of President Dmitry Medvedev with members of the Central Board of Russian Agrarian Movement All-Russia’s Public Organization.
According to the minister, the doctrine is necessary to ensure long-term agro-industrial policy of the state. What’s more, the Agriculture Minister will elaborate in the nearest future a program of actions to set off for Russia’s agriculture the aftereffects of global collapse.
This program, the minister assured, would also specify “greater attention to development of beef and dairy husbandry. “The funds have been provided for, including in the next year’s federal budget,” Gordeev said.
