Russia’s Interior Ministry Annually Puts Into Service 20 New Types of Weapons
The RF Interior Ministry annually puts into service some 20 new types of weapons, combat vehicles and special devices that are exhibited at Interpolitekh, Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliev announced when opening the 12th International Interpolitekh 2008 show of devices designed to ensure the state security.
Nurgaliev said that, in the recent years, the RF Interior Ministry has put into service more than 200 new types of weapons and technical facilities, mostly of Russia’s make.
Interpolitekh 2008 is currently held in Moscow. The event is attended by over 400 companies from 32 regions of Russia and five foreign states, including Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States and Switzerland.
Arranged by the RF Interior Ministry, Interpolitekh presents around 5,000 exhibits, while the estimated attendance exceeds 25,000 persons, including more than 1,000 profile experts from regional divisions of federal executive bodies.
