Russians Owed 3 Bill. in Back Wages
The total debt of Russian companies and government organizations for September wages increased 2.1 percent and has topped 3 billion rubles, PRIME-TASS reports, citing Rosstat data. The budget system was 194 million rubles in debt as of October 1. The main cause of that debt is the failure of federal and local budget funds to reach state agencies on time.
A total of 200,000 people are owed money. That is 1 percent of workers monitored by Rosstat. Wage debt has been increasingly almost continually in recent months. The size of that debt for August increased 14 percent and for May 8.5 percent.
