NATO Ships Leave the Black Sea
The NATO group of six vessels from Spain, Germany, the United States and Poland is leaving the Black Sea, the alliance reported.
The ships appeared in the water area of the Black Sea a few days after the start of Russia’s-Georgia’s clashes for South Ossetia. The NATO officials alleged the vessels had been redeployed not because of the Caucasus conflict but rather because of the scheduled three-week exercise planned a year ago.

The redeployment contributed to further destabilization of the situation in the region, Russia’s military commented, without taking any actions of response.

It is worth mentioning that the United States rejected to take part in the joint exercise with Russia in the wake of the war for South Ossetia and the conflict of Moscow and Tbilisi, unambiguously regarding Russia’s actions as the military aggression. The Kremlin rebuffed to the U.S. accusations and to potential economic sanctions of the EU by threatening to break off all relations with NATO.
