Pentagon Completed Humanitarian Operation in Georgia
The U.S. military completed humanitarian operation in Georgia, said Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman.
From now on, the humanitarian aid to Georgia will be the concern of civilians, while Pentagon will focus on the needs of the U.S. armed power, Whitman made clear.

According to Whitman, the operation ended by unloading the humanitarian cargo from Mount Whitney in Poti-port. The vessel delivered 17 tons to Georgia, including blankets, milk-powder, juice, items of personal hygiene. Overall, the U.S. military transport aircraft made 62 flights to Georgia and the vessels called at Georgian ports three times during the humanitarian operation.

Russia said that using the U.S. combat ships to deliver cargo to Georgia was the provocation and supposed that Washington was rearming that state under the pretence of humanitarian aid.
