Russia to Continue Cooperation with NATO on Afghanistan
Russia hasn’t halted the Afghanistan cooperation with NATO, Interfax reported with reference to the RF Ambassador to NATO Dmitry Rogozin.
“We haven’t touched it [cooperation] yet,” Rogozin announced Tuesday during the news conference held at the Interfax headquarters. The standing of the RF leadership is that “Afghanistan is the common problem.” In today’s environment, Moscow will be monitoring development of the situation in Afghanistan, the official pointed out.
“At present, I think it [halting cooperation on Afghanistan] premature,” Rogozin emphasized, adding, however, that that cooperation could be suspended as well if NATO proceeds with further deterioration of relations.
