Presidents of Russia, France to Canvass South Ossetia’s Events in Moscow
French President Nicolas Sarkozy is expected to visit Moscow on Tuesday to meet with his Russia’s counterpart Dmitry Medvedev, Interfax reported.
The presidents discussed details of forthcoming get-together during the telephone conversation on Monday. It was their third telephone intercourse in the last two days.

On Sunday, for instance, Medvedev told Sarkozy that all troops of Georgia should be pulled out of the conflict area with South Ossetia and Georgia should sign a legally binding agreement on the force non-use.

Russia rejected the French draft resolution for ceasefire that was to be submitted to the U.N. Security Council, Reuters reported on Monday. The draft called for immediate cessation of hostilities, withdrawal of Russia’s troops, respect for territorial integrity of Georgia and access to victims for providing humanitarian aid to them.

Russian Ambassador to the U.N. Vitaly Churkin said the draft had “no reference to Georgian aggression or Georgian atrocities." "I cannot see us accepting this draft of a resolution," Reuters quoted Churkin as saying.
