Ukraine’s President Hastens to Tbilisi
Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko heads for Tbilisi for an urgent visit, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported Tuesday.
So far, all actions and political and diplomatic measures executed by representatives of international organizations and leaders of certain states have failed to produce the effect, the ministry said in a statement.

Hostilities of the Russian Federation have extended beyond the conflict area to other territories of Georgia, acquiring the threatening size and breaching sovereignty and territorial integrity of the independent state, the Ukrainian diplomats announced officially.

The threat to lives of civilians in Georgia increases every hour, the flows of refugees are growing, the statement specified. In this environment, presidents of Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania and Estonia resolved August 12 to immediately fly to Tbilisi.

The leaders of four European nations will meat with the democratically-elected president of Georgia and his government and endeavor to bring to a halt the tragic development of the events, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
