Russia to Take Peacekeeping Mission in South Ossetia to Logical Conclusion
Russia will take its peacekeeping mission in South Ossetia to logical conclusion, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin announced Monday during the sitting of the RF Government’s Presidium.
Russia will endeavor to establish working relations with all parties involved in the conflict, including Georgia, Putin specified, calling the situation in the conflict area “the great human tragedy.”

“We warned our partners, our western partners over and over again that Georgia was preparing for the aggression, for solving the long-standing conflict by combat means. But no one heard us,” Putin emphasized.

“We will certainly endeavor to take the peacekeeping mission to the logical conclusion,” the prime minister reiterated.
