Georgian Soldiers Finish off Russia’s Wounded Peace-Keepers
New deaths of Russian peace-keepers have been reported in South Ossetia. Now there’s a bitter struggle in the area where Russia’s peace-keeping headquarters are located, with armored machines used. Spokesperson with Russia’s Land Forces Colonel Igor Konashenkov said that over 10 Russian peace-keepers were killed, and some 30 got wounded.
According to the information of the Russian Defense Ministry, Georgian military finish off Russia’s wounded officers and natives at the outposts they seize. Mr Konashenkov added that Georgian tanks fired the the peace-keepers’ headquarters point-blank.

“According to our sources in Tskhinvali, Georgian military finish off Russia’s wounded peace-keepers and natives without letting those injured be taken from the destroyed hospital,” he emphasized. In the morning the media reported the first deaths with the Russian party after a shell got right in the casern of the Russian peace-keepers, but there was no detail about the exact number of those killed and wounded.

Russia’s peace-keepers had been informed about the beginning of the military operation the day before. The Georgian authorities recommended that the soldiers should not interfere in what happened on the territory of South Ossetia.

However, South Ossetian President’s Special Envoy in Russia Dmitry Medoyev will ask Russia to boost its military contingent in the conflict zone. “It’s necessary that they respond to the current challenges,” he underscored. In his view, it’s essential “to intensify the peace-keeping operation in the conflict zone.”

A few hours ago Russia’s armored machines were sent to Tskhinvali. The latest data suggests that Russia’s troops have already entered Tskhinvali, and there are Russian jets in the sky over South Ossetia.
