South Ossetian Resistance’s Last Stand in Tskhinvali
There is only one South Ossetian forces post still putting up resistance. It is in the Tsarz neighborhood of the unrecognized republic’s capital, Regnum information agency reports. Artillery fire continues in the city. Georgian tanks have entered it.
The republican hospital in Tskhinvali has been destroyed by artillery fire. The wounded are being taken to Nizhny Zaramag, near the Roki Tunnel. ITAR-TASS reports that the Zar road, which connects North and South Ossetia, is closed in the area of the village of Khetagurovo, and refugees are unable to escape from the zone of military operations.
