Robert Dudley Not Banned from Entering Russia
TNK-BP may obtain the sanction for additional attraction of as many nonresident employees as it needs, people in Federal Migration Service told Interfax.
“Overall, we have sanctioned TNK-BP to attract 71 nonresidents for employment. If the consolidated resolution of the country is available, the work permits could be given for another 74 positions, including top management,” Oleg Artamonov from Federal Migration Service told Interfax Monday.
When commenting on any obstacles for the return of TNK-BP’s Chief Executive Robert Dudley to Russia, the official said that no ban on his entry had been imposed, and Dudley may get the multiple business visa. “But he may work only under the labor visa, which will be granted if he provides the current employment contract,” Artamonov explained.
“The absence of current labor contract for Robert Dudley isn’t the problem of Federal Migration Service or of any other executive body but rather of the company,” Artamonov said, reiterating that Dudley was granted the work permit but not the work visa, as the contract for his employment expired December 31, 2007.
