TNK-BP Refused to Prolong Dudley’s Contract
Russia’s holders of TNK-BP have addressed a letter to the RF Federal Migration Service, notifying about their refusal to prolong the employment contract of CEO Robert Dudley, ITAR-TASS reported with reference to The Daily Telegraph.
As a result, Dudley may leave Russia already next week and he has set to packing suitcases, according to The Daily Telegraph.

One of the global ten leaders of oil industry, TNK-BP has been torn with clashes of holders, Britain’s BP and Russia’s AAR Consortium. The Russian co-owners press for Dudley’s resignation, blaming on him poor performance coupled with the lack of desire to promote business of Russia’s venture and general favoritism to British managers.

The labor visa of Dudley expired Saturday. Instead, the top manager has received a ten-day transit visa, which doesn't provide for employment. The migration authorities need his contract to endorse his work in Russia and deemed ten days would suffice to decide on the issue.

Dudley's contract expired at the very end of past year. The manager has been never notified about the expiration and insist on its termless nature, while the Russians don't regard it valid any longer.
