Russia Launches Chevrolet Cruze Assembly
One of the world biggest carmakers, General Motors, will set to assembling Chevrolet Cruze at facilities in St. Petersburg in summer of 2009, the company said in the statement.
The new model represents the compact-car sector, its length will be roughly 4.5 meters. In GD, they promise that Cruze will have a spacious passenger compartment and be offered at moderate prices.
The model will be presented during Paris Motor Show in October.
General Motors is the biggest automobile corporation that owns such brands as Chevrolet, Opel, Hummer, Cadillac, Saab. The company launches its St. Petersburg facilities in the fall of this year. Chevrolet led in Russia in terms of sales past year, having sold more than 190,000 cars in the country.
