List of Strategic Enterprises Shortened
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree excluding a research institute on starter batteries outside Moscow and a radio plant in Saratov from the list of strategic enterprises. The institute makes lead-acid batteries and batteries for cars and motorcycles. The Radio Set Plant unitary Enterprise has been reformed as a joint stock company.
The decree says of the radio plant that “The stock in the plant are in federal ownership with consequent contribution of 100 percent of the stock minus one of the joint stock society as the contribution of the Russian Federation to authorized capital of OAO Kontsern Granit-Elektron in the procedure of payment of additional stocks issued by that stock society in connection with an increase in its authorized capital.”
Shares in the St. Petersburg enterprise Ravenstvo-Service will also be contributed to the authorized capital of Granit-Elektron. The Russian government should make those transfers within six months. Granit-Elektron specializes in the development, production and delivery of high-accuracy guidance systems for Navy land- and sea-based antiship cruise missiles, as well as for antisubmarine weaponry and equipment for surface reconnaissance and target-seeking weapons.
