Moscow to Earn £35mn on Britain’s Fans
Even losing the UEFA Champions League final that Chelsea and Manchester United play in Moscow tonight will be worth £30 million, The Guardian reported with reference to research conducted by Simon Chadwick, professor of sport business strategy and marketing at Coventry University business school.
Two Britain’s clubs, Manchester United and Chelsea, play the decisive final of the UEFA Champions League in Moscow Luzhniki Stadium May 21. The match begins at 10:45 p.m. MSK and Rossia TV channel will broadcast it in live air.

According to Chadwick, the winner will earn roughly £85 million on extra TV revenues and bonuses ensured by the current commercial contracts. The loser won’t be at grave disadvantage either, generating £30 million from the match.

What’s more, 40,000 fans of Britain will spend around £35 million in Moscow, the professor calculated.
