Yushchenko Ordered to Legalize Withdrawal of the RF Black Sea Fleet
Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko ordered the government to make out by July 20 a bill on withdrawal of the RF Black Sea Fleet from Crimea, Ukrainian News reported.
It isn’t the question of early withdrawal. Under the international agreements, Russia’s ships are to leave Ukraine by 2017.

Ukrainian parliament has already elaborated a draft resolution committing the government to set to preparatory negotiations with Russia on pulling out the RF Black Sea Fleet. The mastermind of the document, Vladislav Kaskiv of pro-president’s bloc says Ukraine should declare the withdrawal of Russia’s troops to exclude the chance of extending the agreement on the RF Black Sea Fleet.

In mid-April, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry urged its Russian counterpart to set to the respective talks, to no avail though. The Moscow diplomats responded by calling the issue not particularly pressing.
