Sharapova Top Rated
Maria Sharapova is first in the ratings of the Women’s Tennis Association, moving up from second place with the retirement of Justine Henin last week. Sharapova has 4181 points in the rating. She is followed by two Serbs, Ana Ivanovic with 3922 points and Jelena Jankovic with 3755 points. Besides Sharapova, there are five other Russian players in the top 20. They are Svetlana Kuznetsova (4th place), Anna Chakvetadze (6th), Elena Dementyeva (7th), Vera Zvonareva (12th) and Dinara Safina (14th).
