Political Analysts: Putin’s Cabinet – First Real Govt
The cabinet of Vladimir Putin is “the first real government” in Russia, the political analysts said, forecasting that the ministers have a long and strenuous way to renewal ahead.
Vladimir Putin announced the strength of his government Monday, increasing the number of vice premiers from five to seven persons and giving vital offices to ex-chiefs of his administration.

Nowadays, Putin’s former aid Igor Shuvalov equals ex-PM Viktor Zubkov in rank, both of them are the first vice premiers in Putin’s cabinet. Former chief of president’s administration Sergei Sobyanin heads the government’s staff in vice premier’s capacity and former deputy chief of president’s administration Igor Sechin is the vice premier for industrial policy.

“For the first time, Russia has a real government, not temporal or technical as it happened in previous years, but the real one. And for the first time, the sovereign premier has headed the cabinet,” Geopolitical Expertise Center chief Alexander Dugin said Tuesday during the sitting of Izvestia Political Club.

According to Dugin, all appointments in the government are the genius steps, and with such cabinet, the continuity of political course will be maintained for sure.

“It is the government of preparing the innovation breakthrough. Its task is restricted but necessary,” said Vladimir Zharikhin, deputy director of CIS Institute. “Modernization is concern of the future, now we are fighting for prerequisites for modernization,” Dugin explained.
