Britain’s Fans Won’t Need Visas for Moscow Match
Britain’s fans may go to the Champions League final between Manchester United and Chelsea in Moscow without any visas; a foreign passport, ticket and Russia’s migration card will suffice for this purpose, says the RF embassy in London.
The RF authorities have decided to permit the visa-free entrance of Britain’s fans to the Champions League soccer match of Chelsea and Manchester United May 17 to 25, the embassy said, specifying that the respective resolution is currently executed in legal terms.
Moscow hosts the Champions League final between Manchester United and Chelsea May 21. Some 21,000 fans may arrive to Moscow from each side.
The fans are to have three documents both when arriving in Russia and when leaving it: a valid foreign passport, original ticket to the match and the filled-in migration card of Russia. The fans that won’t stay in Moscow more than three days won’t need any migration registration.
The visa-free entry will be granted to all holders of tickets irrespective of their citizenship, confirmed Alexei Sorokin, who coordinates the Champion League Final project and heads the Moscow department for physical culture and sport.
