Parade of Military Hardware on Victory Day Manifests Capacity of the RF
According to Vladimir Putin, participation of military hardware in the Red Square parade on the Victory Day is manifestation of Russia’s capacity instead of the sabre rattling.
“First time in many years, the military hardware will also take part in the parade. It isn’t the sabre rattling. We have threatened nobody and don’t intend to do it,” Putin said when meeting the government and chiefs of the Kremlin staff.

The military hardware last paraded in the Red Square November 7, 1990. No military parades were held in 1991 to 1994. In 1995, the veterans marched in the Red Square to mark the 50th anniversary of the WW2 victory and the military hardware paraded in Poklonnaya Gora.

The parades with participation of Moscow Garrison have been held in the Red Square since 1996, but this year’s parade will also show combat vehicles and tanks.
