RF Embassy in Egypt: Traffic Accident Killed 6 Russians
Six Russians were killed in the traffic accident, said Yusup Abakarov, vice consul of the RF embassy in Cairo. The information was provided by Egypt’s police after the remains examination.
The fire destroyed documents of the victims and burnt bodies, and indentifying the remains requires the presence of relatives and even the DNA analysis, Abakarov said.

According to previous reports of the RF Foreign Ministry, 16 citizens of Russia suffered in the accident from injuries of different severity. Some had minor bruises and injuries and were released from the hospitals after having medical treatment.

The list of the victims is yet preliminary, people in the RF Foreign Ministry said. Due to the absence of documents, the names were written in the Arab language in hospitals and call for specification.

The accident happened early May 1 at Sharm ash Shaykh – Cairo high road. The bus with a group of tourists from Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Canada and a few other states turned upside down at high speed and the fire broke out, killing eight passengers and a driver.
