Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina Ease Visa Procedures
Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have eased visa procedures, enabling the residents to travel from one state to another having only an invitation or a tourist voucher, the RF Foreign Ministry said. This chance for visa-free travels has been spelled out in the intergovernmental agreement of both states that takes effect May 1, 2008.
“The agreement provides for the visa-free trips of the citizens going out for purposes of business contacts, professional, research, educational, cultural and sport activities, for short-term medical treatment as well as for private purposes for the period of up to 90 days,” the document says.

But the visa-free trips for persons, who have foreign passports, are conditioned to availability of original invitations executed under the national laws of each country or of the tourist document (duration is 30 days at the maximum).

Holders of diplomatic and special passports may go from one country to another for 90 days without any visas, and employees of diplomatic missions, consular offices and representation offices of international organizations and members of their families living with them for the whole term of accreditation.

The visa-free procedures don’t extend to persons going out to another state for employment.
