Russia Requested The Hague Tribunal to Report on Crimes against Ethnic Serbs in Kosovo
In the wake of publication of Carla del Ponte’s memoirs, the RF Foreign Ministry officially requested the Hague Tribunal to provide data on investigating the military crimes against ethnic Serbs in Kosovo. Carla del Ponte is the former chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), and her book, "Hunt, Me and War Criminals", has caused a worldwide outcry.
In its address to the Hague Tribunal, the RF Foreign Ministry emphasized that that the atrocious crimes against peaceful Serbs in Kosovo committed by guerillas of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) under the fighting-for-independence slogan were shocking.

Having drawn attention to vitality of the memoirs in view of the unilateral independence declaration by Kosovo, the RF Foreign Ministry officially asked The Hague Tribunal whether it had the information about the crimes mentioned in the book by Carla del Ponte and what actions had been taken to investigate them.

"Hunt, Me and War Criminals" was launched on sale April 3, 2008. The book contains accusations against the KLA, including its warlord Ramush Haradinaj and today’s PM of Hachim Thaci. In 1999, Carla del Ponte wrote, guerillas of the Kosovo Liberation Army had been kidnapping ethnic Serbs in Kosovo to deliver them to Albania for selling their organs.

The Hague Tribunal acquitted Ramush Haradinaj a day before, as the witnesses refused to testify, according to official explanation.
