Police Raided L’Etoile Headquarters
Police raided headquarters of L’Etoile chain of perfume stores yesterday, gazeta.ru reported with reference to an anonymous source.
No details have been given about the search of L’Etoile office located at Sevastopolsky Ave, Moscow. The stores continue to work as usual, L’Etoile representatives assured, declining to elaborate.

Vladimir Nekrasov, the owner of another biggest perfume retailer Arbat Prestige, was detained in January of 2008. Sergei Shnaider (Semen Mogilevich), whom Russia’s media called the shady owner of Arbat Prestige, was arrested together with Nekrasov. Arbat Prestige is the key rival of L’Etoile here.

The first L’Etoile opened in Moscow in September of 1997. Nowadays, the company has 115 stores in Moscow and more than 500 in Russia.
