Source: Nationwide VTsIOM poll conducted on November 29 and 30, 2003,
in which 1600 people living in 39 Russian regions, territories, and republics
were questioned. The statistical error does not exceed 3.7%. Study
participants were asked to name ten people who in their opinion should be ranked
among today’s Russian elite.

Information on the professions of people listed in the rating is given as of
December 10, 2003.
