Acts of Terror Prevented During Presidential Election
A few acts of terrorism were prevented during the presidential election of March 2, said FSB Director Nikolay Patrushev.
The acts of terrorism were prevented thanks to receiving the advance information, Patrushev announced Wednesday during the sitting of the Federal Operative Staff of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee. Patrushev heads that committee in addition to being the FSB director.

“The bandits had planned those acts of terrorism and subversion to destabilize the situation in the country,” Patrushev emphasized. According to the official, the extent of terrorism threat has been driven down in Russia despite the increasing danger of terrorism in the world.
