A Russian Ate Pancakes at Record Speed
In Lakhta-village near St. Petersburg, a Russian, 33, set a new record for pancakes. He ate 73 pancakes in 60 minutes and this achievement will be added to the Guinness Book of World Records, Interfax reported.
The total weight of the eaten pancakes exceeded 2 kilograms. The arrangers said the hurt feelings for the country had driven them towards setting the record.
Nowadays, most of the pancake record-holders of Guinness aren’t of Russia’s origin. The record for the biggest pancake, for instance, was set by an Indian.
In addition to the record eating of pancakes, the agenda of Shrovetide celebration in Lakhta sets forth cockfighting, which is scheduled for March 9.
