Detectives Found Criminals that Robbed Chakvetadze
Seven criminals that have been recently detained in the Moscow region robbed the cottage of Russia’s tennis player Anna Chakvetadze, said Vyacheslav Tochilkin, acting chief of the I-division of Interior Ministry’s Criminal Investigating Department.
But the gang could have had more than seven members, Tochilkin said, specifying that they are still searching for Chakvetadze’s belongings.
Moscow region’s police detained a group of seven criminals March 4. They are suspected in the robbery of over 50 cottages in the Moscow region. The officers confiscated fire-arms, traumatic-wound guns, six grenades, knives and nine masks. The search in their flats revealed some of the stolen belongings, including fur coats, coats, household devices, mobile phones, gold and silver jewelry of the total weight of over 7 kg.
Six unidentified men robbed Anna Chakvetadze’s cottage that is located near the Moscow region’s Aprelevka on December 18, 2007. The criminals broke into the cottage at night, they tied Anna and her parents and stole money and valuables for the total worth of roughly 5 million rubles.
