Merkel to Meet Putin, Medvedev
German Chancellor Angela Merkel will arrive in Moscow March 8. She will meet with President Vladimir Putin and President-Elect Dmitry Medvedev, RIA-Novosti reported with reference to the Kremlin’s news service.
In Russia, the nation elected a new president March 2. With 100-percent of all votes counted, Dmitry Medvedev has been backed up by 70.28 percent, Central Election Commission Chairman Vladimir Churov told the reporters Tuesday. The turnout was 69.78 percent.
The final results of election will be known March 7.
