Putin Addressed the Nation Before Election
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has addressed the nation on the threshold of presidential election in the country, the president’s press service reported.
“Dear citizens of Russia! On the nearest Sunday, March 2, we will have the most significant political event, the election of president of our country. Three months ago, you and I elected a new parliament and it is working actively already. The day after tomorrow, we will have to vote for a new president, completing the second and the most decisive stage of supreme power renewal. The onward movement of Russia shouldn’t stop, the changes for the better should continue. That is why, the comprehensive and grand tasks have been set for the nearest years,” Putin said in the address.

“Dear friends! We all realize very well how grand the role and responsibility of the head of such state as Russia is. And how vital for him is the trust of the nation, how it is necessary for the efficient and assured work in the office of president, for ensuring stability in the country. That is why every vote will be vital on March 2, the opinion of each of you matters. Please come to election on Sunday. And vote for yours and my future. For the future of Russia,” the president said to the nation.
