Japan’s Coast Guards Found Captain Uskov’s Lifeboat
The coast guards of Japan found a lifeboat from Captain Uskov motorship that went missing in the East China Sea in January, RIA Novosti reported referring to the press service of the Transport Ministry. There was no one in the boat.
“At 9:22 a.m., February 21, Japan’s coast guards informed about discovering a lifeboat from Captain Uskov motorship in the responsibility area of Japan’s rescuing services,” the ministry announced.

Captain Uskov with the crew of Russia’s sailors left Nakhodka for Hong Kong January 15. It was carrying metal rolls but has never reached the port of destination.

The ship missed in the East China Sea and the search has been underway since January 24, to no avail though. The experts come up with various stories when attempting to shed light on the mysterious disappearance of the motorship. The most probable of them are that Captain Uskov sank after the cargo shifted during the storm or was attacked by pirates.
