Tursunov Out Of Rotterdam
Russia’s Dmitry Tursunov yielded to Spain’s Rafael Nadal in the opening round of the World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam, which prize fund exceeds ˆ800,000.
World No. 2 and the tournament’s first seed, Rafael Nadal beat Tursunov Wednesday in two sets (6-4 6-4). Tursunov is the 33rd in the world ranking and the players had never met on the court before.
Nadal, 21, next plays Andreas Seppi, who has defeated former No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt of Australia to the general surprise of the crowd.
