Russia, Ukraine Able to Sort Out All Problems
All problems in relations of Russia and Ukraine are solvable, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said when meeting Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Vesti TV channel reported.
“When we set to talking over these problems, it was found that they all are solvable, we have no deep contradictions and we have never actually had for any of them,” Putin pointed out during the meeting with Tymoshenko.

The turnover is stepping up each year and the growth is material all disputes notwithstanding, Russia’s president emphasized.

Tymoshenko said she was quite satisfied with results of the Moscow talks. She also thanked Russia’s president for finding the time and desire for the meeting.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said he views the progress in settling gas debt to Russia as sabotage. Ukraine was to pay off all debt for the gas consumed in 2007 on February 14, the president specified. Of 7.5-billion ($1.5 billion) arrears, only $1.5 billion ($300 million) has been paid off with great efforts, including his personal ones, Yushchenko said, urging the prime minister and the cabinet not to turn that payment into a political issue.
