Ukraine, EU Set to Creating Free Trading Area
Ukraine and the European Union have set to negotiations aimed at creating a free trading area, UNIAN reported referring to the statement of Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko and EU Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson.
The European Union is Ukraine’s most significant partner, Yushchenko said, giving the mutual turnover of $32 billion as a reason. Foreign money arrives in Ukraine exactly from the EU, the president specified.

The date of completing negotiations is yet unknown. It will be a long way, but it won’t take a day more than needed, Mandelson assured.

Ukraine that in early February signed all documents to join the WTO will become a member of that organization already in 2008.
