Govt Approved Candidates to BODs of State Companies
Russia’s government has approved a list of candidates that will represent it in the state-controlled companies, including RAO UES of Russia, Bank VTB, Transneft, Rosneft, Zarubezhneft, Aeroflot, RZD, United Aircraft Construction Corp, Housing Mortgage Agency. Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov has signed the respective ruling already.
The Board of Directors and the Audit Commission of RAO UES of Russia will have 13 members. The list of candidates mostly sets forth officials that are the members of current BOD of RAO UES, including Deputy Economic Development Minister Kirill Androsov, BOD Chairman Alexander Voloshin, Deputy Industry and Energy Minister Andrei Dementiev, Rosimushchestvo Deputy Chief Gleb Nikitin, the RF Government’s Department Director Olga Pushkareva, Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko, RAO UES CEO Anatoli Chubais and Ilya Yuzhanov, member of RAO UES BOD and member of NOMOS Bank’s Supervisory Board.
But unlike 2007, this year’s list of the government doesn’t mention former Economic Development Minister German Gref, who is Sberbank’s chief now, and Andrei Sharonov, once the deputy economic development minister and today’s chairman at Troika Dialog BOD.
Instead of them, the government has put forward today’s Economic Development Minister Elvira Nabiullina and Rosenergo head Dmitry Akhanov.
The government’s list also spells out some new names for RAO UES, including Rosimushchestvo Deputy Chief Yuri Medvedev, Egor Polyakov, who heads a department at Rosimushchestvo, and Alexei Uvarov, who is an acting head of Rosimushchestvo’s department.
