Rogozin to Address NATO Humanly
The NATO member states should be aware they couldn’t ensure their security by infringing the security of others, Russia’s new envoy to NATO Dmitry Rogozin made clear, RIA Novosti Reported.
“They [the NATO states] are to realize that someone’s security couldn’t be attained by infringing the security of others. It’s necessary to speak with them in a human way,” Rogozin said in the interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta, when commenting on his future work as Russia’s envoy to NATO.

His priorities in the new office will be the political rather than the diplomatic tasks, Rogozin specified.

When commenting on the CFE Treaty moratorium that Russia imposed in the wake of NATO’s refusal to ratify the adaptation treaty, Rogozin said: “The matter at stake here will be liberating this sphere, I would say, from colonial dependence.”

“The CFE Treaty is, first of all, an issue of trust between Russia and NATO. Europe’s political map has changed significantly and we are to have clear guarantee for our security… Even in the nightmare, no normal person would ever imagine that we could be fighting with Europe,” Rogozin pointed out.

Asked about other highlights, Rogozin mentioned the problems of Kosovo, Iran and Afghanistan.
