Saakashvili Ready to Give a Hand to Russia
Ex-president of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, won the January 5 elections by vote of 52.21 percent. The united opposition candidate Levan Gachechiladze gathered no more than 25.26 percent, according to preliminary data of Central Election Commission. Saakashvili needs no second-round run-off with Gachechiladze and is ready to give a hand to Russia again.
I’m ready to give them a hand and, if everything turns out well, we will certainly invite President Putin to inauguration and endeavor to start afresh the relations with Russia, Saakashvili vowed not long ago.
The 50 Day Program will be elaborated after inauguration, Saakashvili said, specifying that, in conformity with that program, Georgia’s president and his political team will get down to executing their promises given to the nation in time of election campaign.
In this respect, the priorities are creating new jobs, fighting poverty, developing infrastructure, setting up new enterprises in agrarian sector, improving healthcare. Material changes in the government are also expected.
