Corporations Able to Influence Govt, Most Russians Believe
The giant corporations are more powerful than national governments, said over 60 percent of respondents in Russia, Vedomosti reported with reference to the survey of Canadian Ipsos-Reid that covered 22 states of the world.
The influence of big business on Russia’s government was too great, said 75 percent of the polled, and 85 percent said the government should control big production. Of interest is that 76 percent of polled Russians agreed that the influence of biggest corporations on their lives was positive.

People in Turkey, Mexico, Argentina, Germany, France and Spain are of similar opinion. But in Brazil, Japan, Belgium, the United States, Canada, Italy, South Korea, India, Australia and Britain, they don’t think that supervising vital sectors of economy is the task for the government.

The business rather than the governments rules the world, said the better part of respondents (69 percent) in 22 countries. More than anywhere, the influence that the big business exerts over the government scares the nation in France (72 percent).
