Indians Teach Malaysians to Fly
Indian trainers are teaching Malaysian pilots to fly Russian jet fighters, Agence France Presse reports, citing Indian Defense Ministry sources. The training is being carries out as part of an Indian-Malaysian military cooperation program, an agreement on which was signed during a meeting between the two countries' defense ministers.
Indian Air Force pilots and the private airplane constructor Hindustan Aeronautics will hold a course for Malaysian pilots on flying and maintaining the Su-30MKM fighter. The Malaysian Defense Ministry stated that the country's air force currently consists of six Su-30MKM models that it received under a 2003 agreement with Russia. That agreement is for 18 planes altogether.
