Saakashvili May Still Win in First Round
As of Monday morning, the Georgian Central Elections Commission had counted the results from 2265 out of 3512 polling places. At that time, former president Mikheil Saakashvili was maintaining his chance of winning in the first round of the early presidential election. So far, Saakashvili has 51.71 percent of the votes.
In second place with 25.38 percent of the vote is Levan Gachechiladze. Badri Patarkatsishvili is in third place with 6.51 percent and Shalva Natelashvili is in fourth place with 6.41 percent of the vote. David Gamkrelidze received 0.78 percent and Irina Sarishvili received 0.3 percent of the vote.
