First Deputy PM Cautioned Against Fake Nanotechnology
The quirky vendors and advertisers are cheating the nation by using the “nano” word to promote goods, RIA Novosti reported referring to Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov.
So far, the product with “nano“ word in its name is just an advertising trick, as it is yet to be licensed, Ivanov specified, giving the so-called anti-rust nano-zinc and nano-crème as examples.

Russia’s budget will appropriate 130 billion rubles to promote nanotechnologies. But state-run Rosnanotekh will fund only the projects that appear commercially promising, Ivanov pointed out, adding that a special research council will decide on the extent of their attractiveness.
