Iran Eager to Create Gas Company with Russia
Iran is willing to set up a joint gas venture with Russia, said Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
Exactly creation of a gas venture will be the highlight of the session of Russia’s-Iran’s intergovernmental commission, said Mottaki, who co-chairs it from Iran. The commission meets in Moscow today, December 13, 2007.

The venture could implement projects in the countries with vast resource base, for instance, in Middle Asia and in the Gulf states.

Iran suggests establishing consortiums with Russia to execute projects in Russia, Iran and in other countries. It is also willing to improve cooperation of banks, creating joint banks that will fund the joint projects.
