Detectives Searched Moscow Headquarters of Siemens
Officers of the state investigating bodies searched December 10 the Moscow headquarters of Siemens. “You can say it was a search,” Russia’s briefer of Siemens Nikita Kukushkin told RBC. The office-check relates to the action initiated because of the budget funds misappropriation, Kukushkin supposed.
Lev Dubnov, Siemens regional envoy to the Sverdlov region, has been detained in Ekaterinburg under the case for office abuse when buying medical equipment in that city. Alexander Shastin, first deputy head of city’s healthcare department, was arrested even before Dubnov.

According to investigators, the healthcare bureaucrats of Ekaterinburg, went beyond the authority and caused the damage of 24,840,669 rubles. They profited, for instance, by acquiring computer tomographs at overestimated prices.

The probe of investigators into the tenders for medical equipment showed that Siemens had been nearly always the successful bidder, including the case with tomographs. The prices were nearly twice as much as the real ones.
