Lavrov Off to Brussels to Attend Russia-NATO Council
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has left for Brussels to take part in the Russia-NATO Council.
The highlights of this sitting of Russia-NATO Council will be the eastern expansion of NATO, Russia’s moratorium on CFE Treaty and the U.S. plans to station a missile defense shield in Eastern Europe, RIA Novosti news agency reported.

In Brussels, Lavrov will meet with NATO General Secretary Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. He is also expected to have a talk with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and meet with Poland’s Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
