Ford Russia Re-Started Production Line Despite the Strike
Ford automobile plant in Russia’s Vsevolozhsk has restarted production line, the company’s briefer Ekaterina Kulinenko announced Wednesday. The production has been resumed in whole, Kulinenko pointed out.
Earlier in the morning, some two hundred workers picketed the entrance to prevent re-launch of production line. No force was applied, the workers on strike urged their fellows to join them and “not to be the traitors.”

But all willing to work showed up at their places. Earlier, Trade Union leader Alexei Etmanov told Lenta.ru he had “his own people” and promised to break the launch of production line.

According to previous reports, the management of Ford plant in Vsevolozhsk decided to make a trial launch of production line November 28 with workers working in one instead of three shifts. The Ford workers went on unlimited strike November 20. They demand to hike wages by a third and improve labor conditions.
