Putin Signaled the Return of Arms Race, The Times Said
President Vladimir Putin announced a “grandiose plan” to restore Russia’s armed forces and signaled the return of the arms race yesterday, The Times reported, commenting on the televised hot line of Putin with the citizens of Russia.
President Vladimir Putin declared yesterday that they will pay attention to all nuclear triad, introducing new missiles, strategic aircraft and submarines by 2015. The intention is to have a fighter of new generation in eight years, Putin pointed out.

”So, our plans are not only big, they are grandiose and absolutely realistic. I don’t doubt we will do it. Our armed forces will be compact but very efficient and will effectively ensure the country’s safety for many years ahead,” Putin told the nation yesterday, setting abuzz media worldwide.

The Telegraph, for instance, was particularly agitated by Russia’s ownership of Siberia and by Putin’s comments on rumors about plotting his murder in Tehran.

The United States and its allies had invented a false conspiracy against him in Tehran in an effort to crap the visit to Iran, Putin said as quoted by The Telegraph. The edition aslo specified that the last hot line of the president was one of the most saber-rattling anti-Western speeches he ever delivered.
