Ukraine’s President Yushchenko Backs Up Tymoshenko
Ukraine’s President Viktor Yushchenko declared Wednesday the support to the prime minister chosen by pro-Western Orange Revolution coalition of the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko and Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense, ITAR-TASS reported.
“Exactly the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko and Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense” received the majority of votes at the early elections and have declared the intention to set up a coalition and submitted to president the general plan of actions,” Yushchenko said in today’s TV address to the nation.
This declaration of president signals the Orange Revolution heroine Yulia Tymoshenko, who was once the prime minister in Ukraine, has a solid chance to return to the office.
