Bushehr Atomic Plant on Schedule
The construction and launch of the Bushehr atomic energy plant are on schedule, according to a joint statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
“The parties have affirmed their bilateral cooperation in the area of peaceful atomic energy and confirmed that it will continue to be carried out incomplete conformity to their obligations under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty. They also affirmed in that connection that the building and launch of the Bushehr atomic energy plant will be completed within the schedule agreed upon,” the statement reads.
